Our Story
How WyattWorks Began
In the late 1970s, Andy Wyatt began his career in the plumbing trade as an apprentice under a Master Plumber. During that time, he learned the technical skills of the profession, how to communicate with customers, and what it takes to build a successful business.
A few years later, in 1980, Andy took a leap of faith and founded WyattWorks.
In the beginning, it was just Andy and his wife, Ruth, operating the business from their family home. It was small and took plenty of hard work to keep it running, but they shared a vision: to build a business their community could trust.
From the very beginning, Andy and Ruth decided they would treat every customer's home the same way they would want someone to treat their own. That meant showing up when promised, communicating honestly, delivering quality workmanship, cleaning up before leaving, and treating every customer with kindness and respect.
Today, the Wyatt brothers, Luke, Josh, and Seth, proudly carry on their parents' legacy. Now operating in both Ohio and North Carolina, our services include plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other essential home services.
What It Means to Be a "Son of a Plumber"
At WyattWorks, being a Son of a Plumber means sharing our founder's passion for the trade and delivering the same quality of work on which he built his reputation.
Our second-generation leaders grew up in the plumbing business as literal sons of a plumber. They joined their father on service calls and learned firsthand what it means to be a reliable provider. Their dad taught them that if they wouldn't be proud to have others see their work, it isn't good enough.
To be a Son of a Plumber, you don't need to carry the Wyatt family name. Every employee at WyattWorks is hired not only for their technical skills and experience but also for their integrity, professionalism, and dedication to serving customers the right way. They become an extension of our family and earn the honorary title of Son of a Plumber as a symbol of their commitment to upholding our legacy.
